about me

Clawed by June is more than a business to me. It’s a labor of love I didn’t know was inside me. I haven’t always created press-on nails. I’m not a former nail tech. I’ve never been a frequent visitor to nail salons. In fact, I didn’t have a clue what I wanted to do with my life . It never occurred to me to do anything nail or nail art related! Most of my adult life was a series of interests in short bursts that fizzled out swiftly. It wasn’t until my late 30’s that the picture began coming into focus.

My odyssey into nails was started with a muffled dip into pre-made, mass produced press-on nails with little to no creativity involved. My younger sister was into doing her own nails and we bonded (and continue to do so) over my growing fixation. Over the next few years I found myself becoming infatuated with devouring anything I could about nail art. Gel polish, isolated chrome, magnetic gels, nail charms, brush technique, nail safety and chemistry, it didn’t matter. I wanted to know ALL of it!

I’m still profoundly obsessed and this I know now, Clawed by June is my passion. I love creating beautiful art on a teeny, tiny canvas. I’m excited everyday to go into my studio and make unique, and beautiful art pieces that you can wear on the tips of your fingers! I put my heart and soul into creating something you will love because I feel art is fundamental to my well-being and making others feel beautiful through my art gives me a place in this world that I love.
